Enteral Feeding Pump
Prepare prescribed adult and pediatric feeds, program water flushes, and resolve interruptions.
Level 1Adult setupPrepare continuous and single-feed orders.StartLevel 2Adult feed + flushProgram prescribed feeding and water schedules.StartLevel 3Pediatric feedingUse child-specific formulas, rates, volumes and flushes.StartLevel 4TroubleshootingAssess interruptions and restore prescribed delivery.Start
How to Play
- Choose a level. Each round has three fictional patient orders.
- Match patient identifiers and scan the wristband. Review readiness, formula and the compatible feeding set.
- Load and prime with the patient disconnected. Set the ordered mode, rate, feed volume and water schedule when applicable.
- Select an answer or use the arrows, then press OK. Review settings and connect to the ordered enteral access before Start.
- Check delivery and patient tolerance. In troubleshooting cases, identify and correct the cause before resuming.
- Each order starts with 300 points. Incorrect actions deduct 50 from that order, down to zero. Retry without a timer.
Infusion Pump
Practice primary and piggyback infusion-pump sequences.
Level 1Primary infusionProgram the released primary-infusion sequence.StartLevel 2Piggyback infusionProgram primary and IV piggyback sequences.StartLevel 3Calculate, then programApply dimensional analysis, then program your verified pump rate.Start
How to Play
- Scan the patient wristband with the computer-connected scanner before each order.
- Review the infusion order.
- Identify the required rate and volume.
- Follow this fictional simulator's sequence; actual device controls and facility procedures differ.
- Confirm the prescribed parameters. In the advanced level, calculate with dimensional analysis before entering your verified rate.
- For IVPB, use Channel A secondary mode and the product-specific primary interruption and line-clearance plan.
