A correct answer claims the square. An incorrect answer or timeout passes the turn and leaves it open.

The answer and rationale appear for three seconds, then the next turn starts automatically. A missed question is replaced for the next attempt.

Three in a row wins. A full board is a draw. Leaving ends the game; reconnecting restores the current board and running timer.
